               Recreation               and               leisure               opportunities               include:               the               Austin               Rowing               Club               on               Town               Lake,               jogging               and               running               on               the               city's               hike               and               bike               trail,               Breakfast               tacos               at               the               famous               Las               Manitas               Cafe               on               Congress               Avenue.

A               Saturday               morning               farmer's               market               on               the               downtown               Republic               Square,               Congress               Avenue               Bridge               with               a               visit               to               the               hip               SoCo               neighborhood               located               on               an               adjacent               hill.

The               Cedar               Door               on               Brazos               Street,               is               one               of               the               many               popular               and               trendy               modern               bars               in               the               area,               along               with               the               Molotov               on               Sixth               Street.

Fitness               opportunities               can               be               found               at               the               YMCA               on               Cesar               Chavez               Street,               and               a               healthy               lunch               or               snack               is               available               nearby               at               Katz's,               the               24-hour               deli               on               Sixth               Street,               or               pasta               on               the               Noodle-ism               on               Fifth.
               The               Downtown               Austin               Neighborhood               Association               hosts               the               an               annual               downtown               living               tour,               and               the               "The               Urban               Core",               a               monthly               social               gathering               for               residents.

Daily               routine               needs,               as               well               as               entertainment               can               be               found               on               Martin               Luther               King               Boulevard               in               the               North,               Town               Lake               in               the               South,               IH-35               in               the               East               and               Lamar               Boulevard               in               the               West.

               Getting               around               the               downtown               are               is               assisted               by               the               free               "Dillo"               buses               that               serve               the               area               and               the               city               provides               many               sidewalk               bicycle               racks               on               major               downtown               streets.

The               area               is               known               as               a               pedestrian-friendly               neighborhood               with               most               streets               being               known               as               safe               at               all               hours.

An               association               of               bike               riding               uniformed               volunteers               called               the               Austin               Downtown               Rangers               patrol               Monday               through               Saturday               from               6:30               a.m.

to               10               p.m.

They               are               not               armed,               but               do               carry               two-way               radios               to               communicate               with               law               enforcement.

Other               areas               of               downtown               Austin               are               patrolled               on               horse               back,               and               by               foot               patrols.

The               Nu               Age               Café               is               one               of               the               most               popular               restaurants               in               this               section               of               the               city,               and               serves               all               vegetarian               food.

Zoot               is               another               popular               eatery,               featuring               something               for               meat               lovers,               and               is               located               on               Hearn               Street.

Additional               favorite               dining               venues               includes:               Hula               Hut               on               the               water               on               Lake               Austin               Boulevard,               The               Magnolia               Cafe               on               Lake               Austin               Boulevard,               open               24               hours               a               day               and               serving               sandwiches               and               breakfast               all               day,               and               Mozart's               Coffee               Roasters,               also               on               located               on               Lake               Austin               Boulevard,               where               coffee               and               pastries               on               the               spacious               lakeside               deck.
               Tarrytown               does               not               feature               many               businesses,               and               is               more               suburban               in               nature.

This               neighborhood               is               located               near               the               center               of               Austin,               and               in               close               proximity               to               downtown               offerings.

The               Lion's               Municipals               Golf               Course,               and               the               Deep               Eddy               Pool               are               the               prime               recreational               facilities               in               this               community.
               Westlake               is               really               more               of               a               suburb,               with               their               own               government               entities,               but               is               largely               considered               a               "part"               of               Austin,               and               is               located               near               to               the               downtown               area.

Many               modern               apartments,               and               smaller,               yet               nice               homes               comprise               this               section               of               town.

The               population               is               primarily               young               professionals,               and               couples               living               together               without               children.

Zilker               Park               is               the               main               green               space,               which               is               located               within               walking               distance               to               popular               restaurants:               Las               Palomas,               which               serves               Mexican               cuising,               Bistro               88,               which               features               pan-Asian               delights,               and               the               wheat               free               restaurant,               Wildwood               Art               Café,               which               also               showcases               work               of               Oaxacan               artists               and               crafters.

The               Barton               Creek               greenbelt,               and               the               Wild               Basin               Wilderness               area               are               located               nearby               on               Loop               360.

The               Barton               Creek               Mall               is               also               conveniently               located               between               this               neighborhood,               and               the               downtown               area.

Northwest               Austin               is               the               area               which               is               known               for               the               high               end,               chic               shopping               plaza               at               The               Arboretum.

The               Barton               Hills               center               is               home               to               Central               Market,               a               Borders               bookstore               and               a               Whole               Earth               store,               and               Target.

The               neighborhood               is               also               situated               near               Barton               Springs               Road               "restaurant               row"               where               local               favorite               eateries,               Shady               Grove,               and               Chuy's,               are               located.

The               planned               improvements,               and               enlargement               of               the               neighborhood               will               even               further               link               the               area               to               Mpca,               and               IH               35,               as               well               as               the               Parmer               Street               area.

The               shopping               center               is               being               promoted               as               a               boon               to               the               entire               retail               economy               of               Austin,               and               will               feature               7000,000               square               feet               of               store               space.

An               additional               75,000               square               feet               of               office               space,               and               at               least               390               apartments               units               are               also               planned.

Stores               expected               to               be               included               in               the               mall               to               open               by               the               end               of               2008               include:               Neiman               Marcus               and               Macy's,               in               addition               to               Barneys               Co-Op,               BCBG               Max               Azria,               and               Calypso               Christiane               Celle,               Tiffany               and               Co.,               Polo               Ralph               Lauren,               Emporio               Armani               and               Louis               Vuitton.
               ARBORETUM
               This               section               of               the               city               is               often               compared               to               the               Dallas               area,               for               the               similar               laid               back,               easy               going,               and               funky               offerings               available.

The               community               is               also               located               near               Highland               Lakes,               but               stays               within               easy               commuting               distance               to               downtown.

Most               of               all               the               residents               live               in               apartments,               and               are               young               professionals,               or               artists.

The               Arboretum               section               also               includes:               Banana               Republic,               Pottery               Barn,               Barnes               and               Noble,               Restoration               Hardware               and               Nine               West,               Saks               Fifth               Avenue,               Crate               and               Barrel,               and               The               Cheesecake               Factory.

Non-chain               local               favorites               include:               Z-Tejas,               Eddie               V's               Edgewater               Grille,               Manuel's,               Amy's               Ice               Cream,               Whole               Foods,               and               Reed's               Supper               Club.

Recreational               and               green               spaces               include:               the               Great               hills               Golf               Club,               and               the               Bull               Creek               District               Park,               located               on               the               Loop               360.

The               park               includes               volleyball               courts,               picnic               area,               hiking               and               biking               trails,               and               a               leash               free               dog               park.
               CITY               OF               AUSTIN               SCHOOLS
               Schools               in               Texas               are               overseen               by               the               Texas               Education               Agency.

Local               areas               are               broken               down               into               regional               Education               Service               Centers               which               link               between               TEA               and               the               Independent               School               Districts               (ISD).

Austin               Texas               is               included               in               Region               13               ESC.

There               are               10               separate               independent               school               districts               in               the               Austin               area               that               run               the               individual               public               schools.

Advanced               placement               and               honors               programs               are               offered               in               each               school.


               All               of               the               school               districts               operate               special               schools               or               programs               for               physically               and               mentally               handicapped               students               as               well               as               those               with               behavioral               and/or               emotional               problems.

Also               offered               for               the               growing               population               of               Mexican               students               are               bilingual               or               English               as               a               second               language               classes.

    About 'university of colorado pictures'|...back then. There were some powerful things that went on then. That picture of Spaceship Earth, which I think is one of the most viewed photographs...








    Todd               Clark               is               a               well               known               photographer               throughout               the               state               of               Colorado.

    Originally,               photography               was               just               a               hobby               for               Todd,               who               took               photos               at               little               league               games,               dance               recitals               and               other               various               other               social               activities               in               the               Denver               area.

    His               work               was               quickly               noticed               and               from               there               he               began               to               take               senior               pictures,               portraiture               and               then               went               on               to               headshots.

    In               2005,               Todd               found               himself               on               the               field               at               Invesco               Field               at               Mile               High               taking               photos               of               the               Junior               Denver               Bronco               Cheerleaders               and               he               continues               to               work               with               them               today.

    Todd               is               known               for               his               action               shots               with               dance               teams               and               his               ability               to               catch               a               dancer               at               the               exact               right               time               is               unsurpassed.

    He               has               worked               with               the               Denver               Broncos               Cheerleaders,               Colorado               14ers               Dancers,               University               of               Denver               Dance               Team,               Rocky               Mountain               RockStarz,               Evergreen               High               School               Poms,               and               he               holds               an               ongoing               contract               with               the               Denver               Outlaws               Lacrosse               Dancers.

    Not               only               has               Todd               been               the               official               photographer               for               the               Outlaw               Dancers               since               their               inception               in               2007,               but               he               has               been               Assistant               Director               for               the               team               for               the               past               two               years;               running               rehearsal,               directing               games,               cleaning               choreography,               and               much               more.
                   Todd               has               photographed               many               dance               studios               and               was               the               official               photographer               for               the               Denver               Dance               Festival               in               2010               during               which               he               photographed               over               20               dance               studios               as               well               as               over               20               professional               dance               acts               one               of               which               was               "Stretch",               Michael               Jackson's               former               dancer               and               choreographer.

    Todd               is               one               of               the               easiest               people               to               work               with               and               will               always               make               you               feel               confident               in               your               beauty               when               working               with               him.

    Many               people               go               back               to               simply               because               of               his               laid               back               ways               on               the               studio               or               dance               floor.
                   In               addition               to               the               above,               Todd               has               volunteered               his               time               and               services               to               many               different               fund               raising               events               including:               Key               to               the               Cure-Saks               Fifth               Avenue,               University               of               Colorado               Hospital,               Pediatric               Prom-Denver               Health,               the               American               Heart               Association,               and               more.

    A               few               other               notable               projects               Todd               has               been               a               part               of:               photographer               for               clothing               line               "Adam               and               Eve               Couture",               photographer               for               magazine               cover,               "Colorado               Serenity",               photographer               for               MLL               Publications,               and               the               Denver               Broncos               Alumni               Golf               Classic.
                   And,               as               of               July               2010,               Todd               Clark               has               just               been               contracted               to               have               his               work               featured               in               the               national               publication               HotStepz               Magazine.

    Based               on               the               east               coast,               HotStepz               Magazine               has               featured               such               celebrities               as               Stevie               Wonder,               Michael               Jackson,               and               many               of               the               dancers               from               "So               You               Think               You               Can               Dance".
