Whether               you               want               to               sleep               in               a               tent               or               will               be               sleeping               in               your               one               hundred               thousand               dollar               RV               you               can               find               a               campground               to               suit               your               needs               in               Telluride.

McPhee               Recreation               Area               Campground
               Located               in               the               San               Juan               National               Forest,               the               McPhee               Recreation               Area               Campground               is               run               by               the               USDA               Forest               Service.

The               campground               offers               seventy-six               campsites               located               on               a               mesa               located               five               hundred               feet               above               the               reservoir.
               The               McPhee               Recreation               Area               Campground               offers               about               a               dozen               walk-in               sites               with               tent               pads,               while               another               sixteen               sites               offer               electrical               hook-ups,               and               two               sites               are               handicap               accessible.

All               of               the               sites               offer               paved               access               and               parking,               grills,               and               fire               pits.

The               campground               also               offers               campers               barrier-free               flush               toilets,               drinking               water,               and               firewood.\

               TellurideTownPark               Campground
               Located               within               walking               distance               to               downtown               Telluride,               Telluride               Town               Park               Campground               is               the               only               campground               within               Telluride's               city               limit's               that               allows               RV               parking,               and               that               is               only               during               the               summer.
               The               Telluride               Town               Park               Campground               offers               both               tent               and               RV               camping               at               very               reasonable               rates.

There               is               a               thirty               foot               limit               for               RV's               but               there               are               no               dump               stations               located               at               the               campground.
               During               certain               summer               festivals               the               campground               is               not               open               to               the               general               public               and               is               reserved               for               festival               attendees               only.

               AltaLakes
               If               you               enjoy               more               rugged               camping               than               some               of               the               other               campgrounds               offer               than               Alta               Lakes               may               be               just               the               campground               for               you.

Alta               Lakes               is               not               directly               in               Telluride               but               is               located               just               six               miles               south               of               Telluride.
               Located               at               eleven               thousand               feet               the               campground               is               usually               free               of               snow               by               late               June,               and               is               open               from               late               June               until               late               September.

To               access               the               campground               you               must               travel               five               miles               up               a               rugged               dirt               road.

There               are               no               designated               campsites;               there               are               two               vault               toilets               available               at               the               campground.
               There               is               no               charge               to               stay               at               Alta               Lakes               Campground               but               there               is               a               stay               limit               of               seven               days.
